The Spanish author will be featured in BookExpo America (New York) at the Translation Market Stage on Thursday 29 at 12 p.m., where he will talk about his novel with Rohan Kamicheril from Words Without Borders. Then, on Friday 30 at 7 p.m. he will also talk about his book in 192 Books with Harold Augenbraum, executive director of the National Book Foundation.
Marcos Giralt Torrente is one of the successfully translated authors that will be adding their perspective at the BEA’s Global Market Forum 2014: Books in Translation, on May 28th at noon in New York. Then at 7 p.m. he will be at McNally Jackson Books in conversation with Francisco Goldman on his books “The End of Love” and “Paris.” Torrente will have three of his books released in English to the US market from three different publishing ventures within a span of 18 months.
The submission period for Paz Prize for Poetry in still open, but time is running out. The contest is a collaboration between Miami Dade College’s Center for Literature and Theatre and The National Poetry Series to promote Spanish poetry in the U.S.
