Canal Lector Canal Lector is part of Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez, an innovative initiative that began in 1981 under the leadership of publishing house ANAYA’s founder, Germán Sánchez Ruipérez himself. The creator who gave the foundation his name, set the non-for-profit objective of promoting reading and literacy in the Hispanic world, focusing especially on children and young adults.

TINTA FRESCA The recently launched free online Spanish-language literary magazine Tinta Fresca, especially conceived to connect the fastest growing minority group in the United States and residents of Puerto Rico with reading material in their native language, provides Web users with access to information about and reviews of newly released works of fiction, current events and religion, as well as children’s and adolescent literature.

THE PATHWAY OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE The exposition entitled "The Pathway of the Spanish Language can now be visited on the Internet. The Pathway takes the visitor to key sites in San Millan de la Cogolla in La Rioja, Santo Domingo de Silos in Burgos, Valladolid, Salamanca, Avila and Alcala de Henares, near Madrid. The virtual tour of the exposition invites visitors to get to know the itinerary in all its dimensions, from monuments, writers, monasteries and cloisters to plazas, libraries, landscapes and literary works.

SPANISH OFFICE OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA RESPONSABILITIES The Education Office is responsible for implementing Spanish educational and scientific policies in the United States and Canada. This is done through close collaboration with the Education Departments of various states and local school districts on numerous programs including the following: Visiting Teachers, Teachers and Student exchanges, Language and Culture Assistants, Scholarships to participate in the Summer Institutes and the Quetzal Route Program. The main office of our organization is the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C. There are four other offices that report to our main office, namely the Education Offices of the Consulates of Spain in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in Ottawa.
