László Krasznahorkai was awarded the 2014 Best Translated Book Award for fiction for “Seiobo There Below,” translated from the Hungarian by Ottilie Mulzet. One of the two runners up for the fiction award was “The African Shore” by Guatemalan author Rodrigo Rey Rosa, translated from the Spanish by Jeffrey Gray.

BookExpo America (BEA), North America’s largest gathering of book trade professionals will feature a Startup Alley, where startups will compete to appear before the judges that will decide prize winners and potential investment candidates on the spot. Also, BEA will focus on independent and self-published authors with its new Author Hub, and it will have three separate Buzz Panels for adult, young adult, and middle grade titles.
