The submission period for Paz Prize for Poetry in still open, but time is running out. The contest is a collaboration between Miami Dade College’s Center for Literature and Theatre and The National Poetry Series to promote Spanish poetry in the U.S.

This award recognizes a previously unpublished poetry book written in Spanish by a poet residing in the U.S. The winning book will be published in a bilingual edition by Akashic Press, and its author will receive a $2,000 cash prize. Renowned poet Richard Blanco will serve as a judge.
