Joint statement from the American Library Association (ALA) and its ethnic caucuses

The statement is in response to BCALA’s concern about the application of the Stand Your Ground law in Florida and the fact that the ALA Annual Conference is scheduled for Orlando in 2016. The joint statement of action was developed collaboratively by the Executive Boards of BCALA and ALA and then modified and endorsed by the presidents of the other ethnic affiliates - AILA, APALA, CALA, and REFORMA.
