Local comic book artist staging first ever Texas Latino Comic Con

The first annual Texas Latino Comic Con is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at the Latino Cultural Center, 2600 Live Oak St. in Dallas. By day, Hector Rodriguez is an unassuming fifth grade teacher at McKinney ISD. But by night, he has a whole other identity as an up-and-coming Latino comic book artist whose creation, El Peso Hero, has become an international sensation.

Westby graduates bring a taste of Spain to students

Before class of 2017 Westby Area High School graduates, Beta DeFlorian and Cody King, became alumni they put together a Spanish 4 class presentation they entitled “Fiesta De Los Ninos”.

The publishing sector in Spain continues the upward trend it has been drawing since 2014. Publishing revenues increased 2.7 percent, slightly lower than in 2015 (2.8). Translated to economic figures, were 2,317.20 million euros.
