Martín Casariego

Martín Casariego Córdoba is a Spanish author who was born in Madrid in 1962 and began writing at the age of 16.

A graduate in art history from the Complutense University of Madrid, his first book, Qué te voy a contar, was published in 1989. Casariego’s sixth novel, La hija del coronel, won the Ateneo de Sevilla Prize in 1997 and his two subsequent novels La primavera corta, El largo invierno and Campos enteros llenos de flores gained him further recognition.

Casariego, whose most recent novel was published in 2004 and is titled Nieve al sol, has also written four original screenplays.
