When 92-year-old Holocaust survivor David Goldberg is found dead of an apparent homicide in his apartment, an autopsy is performed. Shockingly, a tattoo of his blood type is discovered, a common practice among SS officials. Oliver von Bodenstein and Pia Kirchoff begin an investigation. A little while later, another elderly Jewish man is found murdered under the same circumstances with the same type of tattoo. The only connection between the two victims is Vera Kaltensee, the matriarch of one of the most influential families in the area. The investigation will reveal both a dark secret and an old vengeance.
