She picks up a stone from the ground, weighs it in the palm of her hand, and watches the flow of water. She thinks of the fierce battle going on in the world and within her. Everything that accompanied her to that shore shines in images that represent the great strength of her feelings, such as her passion for her lover Vita Sackville-West and her tenderness for her husband Leonard.

Recoge una piedra del suelo, la sopesa en la palma de su mano y observa el flujo del agua. Piensa en la feroz batalla que se desarrolla en el mundo y dentro de ella.
