Alexis Ravelo

Spanish writer Alexis Ravelo studied Philosophy at the UNED (National University of Education), and also participated in prestigious literary workshops.

Ravelo published in various anthologies and several books dedicated to children's literature. A contributor to publications such as La Plazuela de las Letras, among others, he taught creative writing courses in various forums and participated in various cultural institutions.

Ravelo is known to the general public for his literary work dedicated to crime and noir novels, having won important awards such as the Hammett Prize for La estrategia del pequinés and the 2015 VLCNegra Prize for Las flores no sangran.

Ravelo died of a heart attack on January 30, 2023.
