PhD in Philosophy, teacher, and writer, Luis Prat (Barcelona, 1962) was born into a family that for three generations has been dedicated to teaching.
Before beginning a degree in Philosophy at the University of Barcelona (UB), Prat studied at the French Lycée in Barcelona, ??spent a year in New York, and worked in various jobs. He later earned his doctorate with a thesis on aesthetics related to audiovisual language, which he has applied throughout his career in the field of video creation, earning with his works various awards at several international festivals.
Throughout his career, Prat has taught at the Audiovisual Communication Studies Department at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), the Center for Cinematographic Studies of Catalonia (CECC), and other private institutions. Prat has worked as a director and screenwriter of documentaries and has also worked as a translator from English and French into Spanish for various publishing houses.
