Born in Buenos Aires in 1971, Darío Adanti is a cartoonist and animator. He is considered a pioneer of comic strips in Spain. He lives in Madrid after previously living in New York, Miami, and Barcelona.
Adanti began his career at El Porteño magazine, a job that was followed by collaborations with Página/12 and Clarín. During that time, he was also co-editor of the comic magazine ¡Suélteme!
Adanti's stories have appeared in media such as The New York Times, El País, La Vanguardia, Público, and El Jueves, where he publishes a weekly page. His comics include titles such as La ballena tatuada, Colmillo blanco, and El meteorito somos nosotros (Hache Award 2024).
Adanti is one of the founders of Mongolia magazine, medium for which he writes and draws. The plays Mongolia el musical, and Mongolia sobre hielo have been developed around this project.
