Peruvian writer and communicator, Gustavo Rodríguez was born in Lima on May 2nd, 1968.
Early in his professional career, Rodríguez excelled in the field of advertising. However, he decided to abandon this path and dedicate himself entirely to literature.
Throughout his career, he has written fiction, non-fiction, and short stories. His titles include Trece mentiras cortas, La risa de tu madre (a finalist for the Herralde Prize), Madrugada o trece kilómetros a la medianoche. In 2023, he won the Alfaguara Prize for his novel Cién conejillos de indias, which addresses themes such as old age, loneliness, and a dignified death.
