Spanish author Rosario Raro studied Hispanic Philology at the University of Valencia, complementing this degree with Creative Writing Techniques at universities such as San Marcos and the Universidad Católica of Peru.
Raro has published both short stories and novels, winning awards such as the Ciudad de Huelva, the Ateneo Ciudad Galdós, the Palabras de Mujer and the Radio 5 Tecnocuentos. She was also a finalist for the Vargas Llosa Novel Prize and the Virtuality: Caza de letras. She leads several literary workshops, including those at the Jaume I University, Fnac Valencia, Literapia, and Sanscliché.
Raro's literary output includes titles such as Volver a Canfranc, La huella de una carta, Desaparecida en Siboney, and El cielo sobre Canfranc. In 2025, she won the Azorín Prize for her novel La novia de la paz, which tells the story of Emily Hobhouse, a British activist dedicated to the pursuit of peace.
