A Spanish historian and writer, Alfonso Goizueta was born in Madrid in 1999.
He holds a BA with honors in History and a PhD in International Relations from King's College London. He is the co-founder and co-host of the Spotify podcast La Torre del Faro, where, along with his colleague Nicolás Oriol, he presents current affairs, politics, and culture.
Goizueta began publishing books early. In 2017 and 2018, he published two books on the history of European geopolitics between the wars, and in 2020, his first novel was published, a portrait of the Greek gods and their myths.
In 2023, he surprised the literary scene by becoming a finalist for the Planeta Prize at just 23 years old. He did so thanks to La sangre del padre, in which he celebrates the figure of Alexander the Great.
