Chufo Lloréns

Spanish writer Chufo Lloréns (1931-2025) was known for his historical novels, a genre in which he became one of the most successful contemporary authors thanks to titles such as Te daré la tierra.

Lloréns studied law, although his professional career was linked to the entertainment world, where he worked as a promoter and entrepreneur. After his retirement, the author was able to pursue his passion for literature. In 1986, he was a finalist for the Planeta Prize with the novel Nada sucede la víspera.

However, after several successful novels, success came with Te daré la tierra, published in 2008. Set in 11th-century Barcelona, ??it masterfully blends the historical genre with adventure and intrigue. On Sant Jordi's Day of the year it was released, Lloréns sold 150,000 copies of this novel.
