María Dueñas

Spanish author María Dueñas studied English Philology and is a professor at the University of Murcia, although she was on leave, dedicating herself almost entirely to her work as a writer.

Dueñas has taught in the United States and collaborated on numerous cultural projects.

In 2009, she achieved great success with her first novel, El tiempo entre costuras, which sold over a million copies and was adapted for television as a miniseries by Antena 3.

Dueñas' work is classified within the historical novel genre, along with other highly successful titles such as Misión olvido. In 2015, she published her third novel, La Templanza, for which an initial print run of over half a million copies was prepared.
