Beatriz Serrano

Spanish journalist and writer Beatriz Serrano was born in Madrid in 1989. She holds a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University and specializes in new narratives.

Throughout her career, she has written for outlets such as Vanity Fair, BuzzFeed, and GQ.

Serrano works at El País and co-directs, with Guillermo Alonso, the podcast "Arsenic Caviar," winner of the Ondas Award for Best Conversational Podcast.

Serrano debuted as a novelist with El descontento, a novel about generational and work-related exhaustion from the perspective of a thirty-something woman going through a personal crisis. A year after her debut, in 2024, she was a finalist for the Planeta Prize with Fuego en la garganta.
