David Uclés

Writer, musician, cartoonist, and translator, David Uclés was born in Úbeda in 1990

He holds a degree and a master's degree in Translation and Interpreting. Throughout his career, he has worked as a teacher of English, Spanish, French, and German.

In the literary world, Uclés has published short stories in magazines such as Esquire, ACTÚA, and QUO, as well as several novels, including Emilio y Octubre (2020) and La peninsula de las casa vacías (2024).

Thanks to the Leonardo and Montserrat Roig scholarships, Uclés was able to focus on writing La peninsula de las casa vacías. Its creation is the result of fifteen years of work, during which he undertook an exhaustive research and memory journey across Spain.
