Born in Santiago, Chile, and a resident of Argentina since 2012, Cynthia Rimsky is a writer and professor at the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires,
as well as at the Writing Diploma program at the Catholic University of Valparaíso.
Rimsky has received several awards throughout her career: the Gabriela Mistral Literary Games Prize in 1994, the Santiago Municipal Prize in 2001, the Best Literary Work Award from the National Council of Culture in Chile, and the Herralde Prize in 2024, this last shared with Xita Rubert.
Her literary output includes titles such as El futuro es un lugar extraño, La revolución a dedo, Yomurí o Clara y confusa.
