The authors make an excellent recreation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare.

It is Puck, the mischievous prankster goblin, character extracted from the original work, who tells the story to a boy William, who turns out to be one of the most famous playwrights of all times.

The story of this book stays true to the spirit in which it was written and maintains the quality that gave its prominent place in the world of literature.  The authors construct a story full of emotion in which the reader gets transported to a fairytale world with all its magic and fantasy.

The story also maintains the poetic tone of the narrative.  The excitement and curiosity that William shows throughout the story will stimulate young readers to read the original play.

Concha López Narváez and, her son, Rafael Salmerón López, started writing together a number of years ago.  In this new book, both mother and son have managed to recreate an incredible story that no doubt will capture the imagination of children of all ages.

The illustrations by Jordi Vila Declós reflect the joyous and festive spirit of the original work, as well as the tender and childish touch that characterizes this recreation.
