As a librarian, the Spanish-speaking communtiy which I serve has asked for books about sign language. This charming and simple book teaches using drawings that show how to form the letters of the alphabet. There are also photos that show how to communicate using sign language and readers are asked to talk to a 10-year-old Mexican girl with hearing difficulties. This book is for preschool and early elementary school age children and shows another way of perceiving our world.
