NubeOcho is specialized in Picture Books for children. We were founded as a publishing house committed to values and diversity. Our books promote respectful attitudes towards all types of diversity. They are also a playful medium to make it easier to engage in first experiences and feelings that the little ones may not easily understand.
This literary award recognizes stories free of sexist stereotypes. The challenge for the authors is to create stories that offer alternative male and female role models and new gender relations, based on the exchange of roles and the contrast of stereotypes, thus favoring balanced gender relations.
The stories can be written in Spanish, English or Italian for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 8.
They begantheir publishing journey in Spain in 2011, and ever since, they have received several awards, including from the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the KIRICO Award. their books have been selected by the Governments of Mexico and Chile for public libraries.
Since 2015, we have been exhibiting with our own space in the prestigious Bologna Book Fair. We participate in BEA American Book Expo and Guadalajara Book Fair.
