Liber pays tribute to Abelardo Linares, founder of Renacimiento

awarded by the Spanish Association of Publishers Guilds (FGEE), to celebrate the International Book Fair to be held October 3 – 5 in Barcelona. The tribute will take place on Thursday, the 4th of October, at the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), along with the presentation of the 2018 Liber Awards. It is a recognition for a lifetime amongst books and for a professional career centered on "underlining the value of books at its core, continuously rescuing authors from oblivion, as well as being committed to the publication of the latest generations of writers", according to what the FGEE announced. Linares is the owner of a bookshop of old and antique Renaissance books in Seville, specializing in Spanish and Latin American literature. He is also the founder of the Espuela de Plata, Renacimiento, and Ulises publishing houses. Throughout his life, he has dedicated himself to the continuous search for quality books with memorable stories that continue capturing readers despite the passage of time.
