The Brazilian press has done well to pick up the work of the Spaniard Manuel Casado Velarde, from the University of Navarra, on literature and psychotherapy, permeated with the idea that the human being cannot live in a world without illusions, without narratives that offer consolation, such as religion, rituals, connection with the cosmos and nature. Analyzing today the great geniuses of world literature, we are discovering the therapeutic force that literature and specifically poetry have always had.
