Madrid, 26/04/2024. The writer Gemma Lienas received today the CEDRO 2024 Award in recognition of her work in the collective defense of intellectual property rights in literature.

 The Barcelona writer has demanded the same protection for intellectual creation as for any other property.

CEDRO has urged the Public Administration to lead the respect for intellectual property rights and has requested to fight digital piracy of editorial content from a cognitive perspective.

The president of CEDRO, Carme Riera, highlighted Lienas' activism in promoting a culture that values and respects the work of authors and publishers. Likewise, she has highlighted the prolific career of the writer, her commitment to equality and human rights and her constant advocacy in various social causes.
