Review of the book “Tuerto, maldito y enamorado” by Rosa Huertas

This is a juvenile mystery novel written by the Spanish journalist, philologist, historian, and author Rosa Huertas.

The work was published by Anaya in 2010. After its release and subsequent success with specialized critics, the academy began to recommend it as required reading at the intermediate level, however, readers have not been very pleased.

Many of those who re-read “Tuerto, maldito y enamorado” agree on several aspects: the book could have been shorter, there are meaningless characters and plots, and the only really interesting thing is the appearance of Lope de Vega. Likewise, other readers state that this is a magical novel and with great references to universal literature.
