Bookish, the first literary box subscription launched in Spain, back in 2017, has bought the Madrid bookstore Lé.
Bookish offers its subscribers monthly a carefully selected box with a publishing novelty, accompanied by complementary materials for the reader to expand their experience such as reading guides, invitations to meetings with the authors, a musical playlist to accompany the reading of that book you just got, bookmarks, etc. In December of 2022 Bookish acquired the historic Alibri bookstore in Barcelona, making Lé its second purchase.
Lé bookstore, which this August will celebrate its 15th anniversary in the heart of the traditional Chamartin neighborhood ?Avenida de Alberto Alcocer 8?, was founded by Rodrigo Rivero and Enrique Fayos. Lé has been a cultural hub of the neighborhood and its role as a developer and promoter of literary culture was recognized in 2017, with the Boixareu Ginesta Bookseller of the Year Award that, annually, is granted by the Federation of Publishers Guilds of Spain.
