Close to 80 Spanish publishing houses and literary agencies will be present at the Bologna Fair.

A total of 77 publishing houses and literary agencies will represent Spain at the 61st Bologna Children and Young Adult Book Fair, an event that will open its doors from Monday, April 8 to Thursday, April 11.

The event is a key opportunity for the Spanish children and young adult book genre to strengthen its presence in a market in which it has gained relevance and prestige at international level. The Federation of Spanish Publishers' Guilds (FGEE) is leading the Spanish delegation with its own stand, which will include the participation of 27 local publishers. The remaining 50 publishing houses, agencies and distributors, will be present at the show in individual stands.

The Bologna Book Fair will see the participation of 1,500 exhibitors from some 100 countries and regions around the world. With Slovenia as the guest of honor, the fair inaugurates a new decade with initiatives aimed at expanding the presence of this book genre in emerging and minority markets. New for this year will be the new Center for Television and Film Rights, a collaboration with the United Nations and the Society of Illustrators of New York.
