Bestseller author María Oruña debuts in children's fiction with "El tren fantasma,” published by Anaya.

María Oruña, whose crime novels have been read by thousands of readers and translated into a dozen languages, now makes her debut in children's fiction.

Author of the successful literary mystery series “Los libros del Puerto Escondido,” María used to make up bedtime stories for her son when he was little.

One day she decided to write one of them down so that her son could read it and remember it when he grew up. That story, kept in a drawer for several years, is now published under the title “El tren fantasma” (Anaya, 2024).
