This increase, 12% worldwide and 9% in Spain compared to the previous year, reflects an upward trend that demonstrates the continued interest and preference for reading in digital format in the Spanish-speaking community.
The report estimates that the Spanish-language e-book market worldwide will reach 122 million euros in 2023: 68 million euros in Spain and 54 million euros in the rest of the world. This market estimate excludes digital sales of academic or textbooks and, for the first time, also excludes sales of digital books sold through direct or special operations by publishers in certain public or private channels.
