Negotiations between Amazon and Bookwire for the renewal of the distribution contract for digital books marketed by the German company have come to a successful conclusion.
According to Bookwire, on Wednesday, April 13, both parties reached a new agreement to renew their contract.
While it is true that we cannot yet have details about the content of the new agreement, what we can say is that digital books marketed by Bookwire will soon be available again on Amazon. As we mentioned in previous reports, the negotiations, which took place in Germany, were being conducted at a global level. So, just as from Publishnews we reported that Bookwire's commercial Spanish-language digital books had been removed from Amazon, other publishing industry media echoed that the same situation had occurred in other markets such as Brazil and Germany.
