TodoLiteratura interviews author Begoña Valero

Begoña Valero has just published in Editorial Sargantana publishing house, her new historical novel, "Un testigo llamado Cervantes", a presumed story based on real events, unknown in literature, about the life of Cervantes:

his testimony in a murder trial in Valencia, after being released from captivity in Algiers.

The author herself explains that "in 1580 Jeroni, a young fisherman, disappeared in Valencia. Presumed dead, the arrest of the alleged culprits will lead Pere de Pax, a Majorcan merchant, to find the truth and try to save his friends from the gallows".

Begoña Valero, a native of Banyeres de Mariola (Alicante), has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia.  She lives in Valencia and works in the Generalitat Valenciana.  She is also the author of the novels "El trabajo de los libros" (Editorial Denes, 2012) and "La casa del compás de oro" (Grijalbo, 2017).
