La Babilonia, 1580 is a historical thriller written by Spanish lawyer, screenwriter, and author Susana Martín Gijón.

The work was published in 2023 by the Alfaguara publishing house. Most of the reviews regarding this book are quite ambiguous. On the one hand, they speak of the good research work and character building, on the other, of an insipid or unexpected ending.

However, at the end of the day, many readers agree that, despite the attractive plot and the interesting society of 1580, portrayed in a brilliant way by the author, the pace is uneven and a bit confusing. At the same time, “La Babilonia: 1580” is one of those novels that must be thoroughly read to get a concrete opinion. In addition, the book has educational elements that are not to be missed.
