Amazon has withdrawn from its store the digital books distributed by Bookwire. A fact that has not gone unnoticed by a large part of the reading public when unable to find several digital books in the Kindle store.
The decision taken by Amazon is due to a halt in negotiations between Amazon and Bookwire.
Bookwire confirms that the withdrawal of its titles has been a unilateral decision taken by Amazon and that it is a usual action of the platform in the framework of this type of negotiations, something that other sources in the publishing market confirm. Likewise, Bookwire sources inform us that the negotiations, which are taking place in Germany, are regarding the conditions of reimbursement of the platform.
And they add "From Bookwire we want to protect the profitability of the digital catalogs of our publishing clients to the maximum and we are negotiating from a constructive disposition to achieve a collaboration under optimal conditions, which is reflected in the renewal of our contract with Amazon."
