aimed at highlighting the most beautiful and innovative picture books published worldwide.

This success points to a flourishing publishing market and confirms the importance, recognized by publishers from all over the world, of the Bologna Fair's exploratory activities, capable of discovering new publishing trends, which come to the forefront of the Fair, and of developing relationships with new countries and regions.

In this edition it is worth highlighting the strength of children's publishing in Spanish, as the work “Kintsugi,” by Issa Watanabe, published by the Spanish publisher Libros del Zorro Rojo, won the award in the Fiction category. In this same category, “¡Gracias, Madre Tierra!” based on Iroquois oral tradition and illustrated by the also Spanish Akiara Books, received a special mention.
