offer a complete overview of the current role of comics in popular culture. In addition to reflecting the current state of the medium, giving visibility to new talents and sheltering the latest trends, without forgetting its history, the event presents new activities that include the interactivity of cartoons with other artistic activities.

2024 is the year of the Utopia section, the name of Comic Barcelona's new space, which is dedicated to the connections of sequential art with science fiction and fantasy.  These themes have served as a reference for Emma Ríos to create the poster for this year’s edition.  The applauded author of “Bella Muerte” (Astiberri, 2014) created an original and personal image, with her powerful style, an exemplary display of creative freedom and imagination, with subtle references, which hits the nail on the head at a time in which it is of utmost importance to claim the authorship and work of our visual creators.
