Books are a gift that never goes out of style. 68.8% of the Spanish population reads books. Of these, the majority, 64.0%, read books for leisure, in their free time, according to the report on Reading Habits and Book Purchasing in Spain, from the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
During 2020, there was an increase in the number of daily readers as a result of the confinement caused by Covid-19. So has weekly reading time: from 6 hours and 55 minutes before the virus to 7 hours and 25 minutes.
