New Spanish Books Presents The Best Spanish Titles in its 2020 Selection For The United States.

A panel of experts from the US publishing industry has selected the best works of Spanish fiction from 205 titles as part of the New Spanish Books program, which aims to promote Spanish literature in the United States.

Each year, the New Spanish Books campaign seeks to bring the best works in Spanish to professionals in the publishing sector in different countries. Currently, the initiative is carried out in six different countries: United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany, Japan, France, and the United States. In each country, a panel of experts selects the titles it considers to be the best works for the market in question. Translation rights to these works then become available to local industry professionals.

In this year's US selection, NSB had the pleasure of working with six panelists, all top-level publishing professionals and experts in the US market. Together they have formed a team with varied profiles, including Andrea Montejo, a prestigious editor and literary agent in the United States; Esther Allen, celebrated translator of books in Spanish for the US market; Javier Molea, director of foreign languages ??at McNally Jackson Books (NY); Chad W. Post, editor of Open Letter Books and editor of Three Percent; Susan Harris, editorial director of WWB; and renowned author and translator Marta López-Luaces.
