Liber 2020 will have scheduled conferences to highlight the world of books and reading

Writer Irene Vallejo will present a “Manifesto for Reading” and the General Book Director, María José Gálvez, will explain measures being taken to reactivate the industry

Involving political parties, public administrations and society together in a commitment to literature and reading, allowing Spain to become a country of readers, is a claim of the book industry in recent years.  To advance in this objective, Liber, the International Book Fair that will be held virtually as a result of the pandemic, has wanted to dedicate a series of conferences in which the writer, Irene Vallejo, will present the “Manifesto for Reading” and the General Book Director and Developer of Reading at the Ministry of Culture and Sports, María José Gálvez, will address the measures that her department plans to develop to reactivate the book and promote reading in Spain.

Likewise, Liber will announce Spain's program as the guest of honor at Frankfurt 2022. These sessions have been planned for the morning of October 28th and will be broadcast via streaming.
