Liber invites 1,300 buyers and international press from 64 countries to virtual business meetings.

Due to international travel restrictions brought on by the pandemic, Liber International Book Fair has reinvented itself and the regular business meetings will be held this year in digital format.

By means of three different and specific programs for buyers, press, and librarians, the FAssociation of Publishers Guilds in Spain (FGEE), in collaboration with several institutions, have selected 1,300 key professionals from the book industry in 64 countries, to participate in meetings with show exhibitors.  These meetings will be held Ocotber 27-29 via a virtual platform which has enabled to broaden the reach and double the amount of invitees from the last edition.

During the three days of the fair, exhibitors will be able to hold virtual meetings with these key professionals, share information about the industry, reach more business contacts, and generate orders; all through a digital platform that promises to contribute effectively to promote sales in the Spanish publishing sector, especially abroad. In fact, one third of the annual exports of the Spanish book industry are made in Liber.

The profile of the guests includes importers, distributors, booksellers, copyright buyers, as well as heads of public entities and libraries, literary agents, university professors, publishers and journalists. This year, the selected participants come mainly from the two geographic areas where the bulk of exports and areas of interest for Spanish publishers are: Europe (27 countries) and Latin America (20), as well as the US and Canada.
