Mario Vargas Llosa wins Inaugural Carlos Fuentes Prize

The nobel prized writer won the inaugural Carlos Fuentes International Prize for Literary Creation in the Spanish Language.

Latino.foxnews.com reports that “the $250,000 cash award went to the Peruvian-born Llosa 'for the contribution he has made in the Spanish language to enrich the heritage of mankind' according to the jury's decision read by Jose Manuel Blecua, director of the Spanish Royal Academy.”
