Coors Light will recognize twelve individuals for its 2020 Líderes campaign, Richard Montez, staff member of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is among the finalists in the Coors Light Líderes campaign, through which he will be honored for his work as a leader in the community.

As a chosen leader, Montez will be highlighted among twelve Hispanic Líderes from across the country through a national and local print campaign and the Coors Light Líderes website. One leader out of the twelve finalists will be selected as the Líder of the Year through a public online vote at www.CoorsLightLideres.com through August 31, 2020. The winner will receive a $25,000 grant for a community leadership project with their non-profit organization and Coors Light.

Richard Montez has been chosen as part of Líderes for his involvement in HACU programs that impact youth nationwide and his leadership in the local San Antonio community. His work includes planning and coordinating HACU’s Annual Dean's Forum on Hispanic Higher Education, and serving as an active committee member of the ¡Lánzate!/Take Off! Higher Education Travel Award Program. In addition, he serves as board chair at a San Antonio nonprofit that serves the most economically marginalized neighborhood in Bexar County.
