According to the latest report by Libranda, the amount of digital books in the book market in Spain is 5.2%

The latest Annual Digital Book Report conducted by Libranda was published last Friday. Libranda is a world wide distributor of digital editorial content in Spanish.

According to this report, in 2019 sales of digital books in Spanish have increased 12.5% world wide and 12% in Spain.  The report also noted that in 2019 the amount of digital books sold with regards to total book sales ranges from 15% to 25%.  The report estimates that total book sales, excluding textbooks and academic books, reached 84.3 million Euros, of which 52.5 millions have sold in Spain and 31.8 millions euros in the rest of the world.  These figures show that digital book sales in Spain count for 5.2%.

Spain is still the principal market of digital books in the Spanish language, with an amount of 62.4% in value in Euros.  It is followed by Mexico with an amount of 12.7%, the U.S.A. wich counts for 9.9%.  However, according to Libranda’s report last year, the biggest increase were the markets in Peru (28%), Colombia (25%), Chile (21%), and Mexico (20%).
