LIBER 2019 will show the vitality of the book sector in Spain

The International Book Fair LIBER 2019 returns to Madrid to continue being the major showcase of the Spanish book sector. Organized by IFEMA and promoted by the Federation of Publishers’ Guilds of Spain (FGEE)

LIBER, which celebrates its 37th edition this year October 9-11, will show the vitality of the Spanish book sector, which is recovering little by little after the economic crisis, and how it is facing the challenges presented by new technologies and changing cultural habits of content consumption.

For three days, the fair will bring together publishers, authors, literary agents, booksellers, and other professionals linked to the sector. With a participation of 395 companies from LIBER 17, it will be a clear example of the commitment to bibliodiversity that makes it possible for society to have books and other editorial content to share stories, reflections, research, ideas – all essential tools for social and cultural development, as well as an important leisure activity. It also reflects the interest of Spanish publishing companies to remain visible in foreign markets.
