Javier Velasco of TodoLiteratura interviews Jesús Ávila Granados: “The trail is more spiritual than the road.”

Jesús Ávila Granados is a renowned journalist and writer from Granada, author of 109 books.

His latest work is Senderos con alma [Trails with a soul], an essay collection where he shows us several of the world’s most legendary hidden paths, with a special emphasis on those found in his native Iberian Peninsula. This is an essential tour of some of the most mythical paths in existence, in which we should all know or learn how to lose ourselves. The book has just hit the market, published by Luciérnaga (Grupo Planeta). Reading the book immerses us in numerous scenarios and refuges that force us to find ourselves. It’s a necessary moment of introspection in this always-rushing world, where speed is often the priority rather than calm. In the interview, Jesús Ávila Granados discovers some of these fabulous trails and a few more little secrets.
