Acción Cultural Española and the Asociación de Cámaras del Libro de España agree to expand the Bookstore Seal of Quality

A total of 86 bookstores throughout Spain have already received the seal and 18 are currently awaiting review.

Today Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and the Asociación de Cámaras del Libro de España signed an agreement whereby both entities committed themselves to developing and expanding upon the Bookstore Seal of Quality. The initiative aims to boost the book retail channel and provide greater professional standards, establishing quality requirements for these cultural benchmarks of Spanish society. The Seal of Quality was created at the end of 2015, with the aim of re-establishing bookstores as spaces for meeting, reflection, and discussion in their communities, converting them into cultural and social spaces. It also promotes a diverse bibliographic heritage, protecting a network of bookstores that offer both best sellers and lesser-known titles.
