Publishers grow slowly to go fast in the leisure race

The book sector increases its turnover by 2% in 2018 and calls for State pacts to boost reading in the world of movie making and screens.

Festina lente (hurry up slowly) seems to be the apparently contradictory slogan of the publishers who, for the fifth consecutive year and still in the absence of the always important Christmas campaign, foresee to close 2018 with an increase in turnover of 2%. Set to be a good year, for the Catalan publishers it has been even last October, with a specific growth of 4%, confirming the negative impact caused to the sector that same month of 2017 the movements which made drop sales by 10%.
