Writer Héctor Tizón died Tuesday

The author, Argentinean province of Jujuy’s Supreme Court justice and diplomat was 82.

Argentina’s contemporary author Héctor Tizón died at his home in Jujuy Tuesday morning. He was 82. “(He) was always a writer. However, he was equally and staunchly a respected lawyer, expressing and demanding deep respect for the law in its purest and applied forms,” reports Buenos Aires Herald.

The author , known as the “Argentinean Juan Rulfo” wrote more than 20 novels, among them: “Fuego en Casabindo,” “Extraño y pálido fulgor,” “La casa y el viento” and “Luz de las crueles provincias”. His last published book was a memoir, in 2008.
