Patricia Esteban wins the IV Dos Passos Prize to the first novel, with her work "Las madres negras"

Madrid, October 27 (EFE) .- Patricia Esteban Erlés from Zaragoza has won the IV Dos Passos Prize to the first novel with her work "Las madres negras", an award worth 12,000 euros. A total of 630 originals from Spain and Latin America have been submitted to this fourth edition of the award......

which has been granted unanimously to Esteban (Zaragoza, 1972), teacher, media columnist and story writer, as reported by the Dos Passos literary agency. The jury, composed of Pilar Adón, Macos Giralt Torrente, Manuel Longares, Fernando Marías, Inés Martín Rodrigo, Clara Sánchez and Santos Sanz Villanueva, stressed that the winning novel "surprises with a strange fusion of Gothic, terror, dark poetry and fairytale child's book rewritten for adults ".
